my frozen nemesis

daily i face one enemy..the ice cubes in our home.
we have never owned one of those awesome refrigerators that makes crushed ice and squirts nice ice-cold water instead i have had to rely on these little plastic lovelies to produce little frozen islands of happiness.
usually, the demands for ice are not great but in the heat of summer, ice is a necessity.
the problem is multi-fold...
..my freezer is small and purchasing a bag of ice is not practical.
..the ice cube trays themselves are not the best. i recently went on this quest to find NEW and IMPROVED ice cube trays and came up empty handed {i did find some online but with an $8 shipping and handling price tag!}my parents, had some on hand they gave me and wouldn't you know it, they were the same dreaded blue ones i had!
..i am horrible about remembering to fill them up.
well, this week i reached my boiling point in my ice dilemma. i have decided to make a point to empty the ice cube trays in a bag and fill them up every day so our ice supply remains sufficient.
sounds easy enough, huh?
however, i am forgetful so i even put this on my to-do list.
i know. the problems in my world are just catastrophic.
stay tuned when tiffany tackles her next problem...the great jewelry mix-up of 2010.
